Spring Herbal Infusions For Healthy Skin

Here are a few of my favorite herbal infusions. Plants have so many incredible benefits and powerful properties. Here are a few ways you can celebrate spring and support your overall health and skin. 

Because of the delicate nature of these infusions - it is incredibly important that you only use organic herbs. I've included links to my favorite resource for organic herbs under each recipe.

 

CALENDULA + ALFALFA + DANDELION LEAF

 

Anti-Inflammatory + Detox Herbal Infusion


  • Steep the calendula, alfalfa, and dandelion leaf herbs overnight / I use 3 heaping tbsp of each individual herb and infuse it in a large 1-quart mason jar. 

  • Cover the jar with room temperature water and allow it to steep overnight.

  • Strain in the morning and mix them with sparkling water and 1 tsp honey for a gentle and nutrient-rich cleanse.

HIBISCUS + LAVENDER

 

Antioxidants + Relaxation Herbal Infusion


  • Steep the hibiscus and lavender herbs overnight / I use 3 heaping tbsp of each individual herb and infuse it in a large 1-quart mason jar. 

  • Cover the jar with room temperature water and allow it to steep overnight.

  • Strain in the morning and add a squeeze of lemon and sparkling water for a refreshing, bright red “lemonade.”

HAWTHORN + NETTLES + ASTRAGALUS

 

Balancing + Immunity Herbal Infusion


  • Steep the hawthorn + nettles + astragalus herbs overnight / I use 3 heaping tbsp hawthorn and astragalus root + 1/4 cup nettle infused in a large 1-quart mason jar  

  • Cover the jar with room temperature water and allow it to steep overnight.

  • Strain in the morning and add 1 tsp honey and a squeeze of lemon for great immune-supporting tea!

THYME + CHAMOMILE + LEMON BALM

 

Immune Boosting + Calming Herbal Infusion


  • Steep the thyme + chamomile + lemon balm overnight.  / I use 3 heaping tbsp of each of them and infuse it in a large 1 quart mason jar 

  • Cover them with room temperature water and leave them to steep overnight

  • Strain the infusion in the morning and add 1 tsp honey and a squeeze of fresh lemon for a great immune-supporting tea!
